As advertised

As advertised - since it's an anti-corrosive, only time will tell how well it works. But it seems to be doing the job.

Whenever you have dissimilar metals like SS machine screws into an aluminum mast. Makes the screws or bolts go in easy so that they are easy to remove when necessary.

The real deal

TefGel is the real deal. Don't use any ""pretenders"". For preventing dissimilar metal corrosion, corrosion in general and anti-seizing, it's the best. I've use it on every electrical connection I've made in the last 10 years and haven't had a corrosion-related failure yet. Great stuff.

Nothing works better than this stuff

This stuff works. It looks expensive but it only takes a thin film to make it stop the dissimilar metal corrosion. It takes a little work to get it off your hands and has the consistency of very sticky grease. It seems to a better than grease substitute for items in a harsh environment.

WORKS AS PROMISED - EXCELLENT ANTI-SIEZE

Tef-Gel was originally recommended to mr by professional riggers. I have used it to isolate stainless fasteners from an aluminum mast, and have no visible galvanic corrosion after about seven years. The best indicator of its anti-sieze properties is an anchor shackle that I treated about six years ago. Yesterday I removed the shackle with only a pair pliers although it had been used often in the intervening years.

A: I bought the Tef-Gel over a year ago. I bought the small jar (not the tube). It is still in good shape. It stays on my boat year round. I haven't found any problems with it.
