Questions

Q: null Can I purchase the plastic clamp ring that retains the top separately? I broke mine by over tightening it. The pump is new.

A: For what it is worth I learned that Whale now offers the clamping ring as a replacement part. This is fortunate as it is a poorly designed part that uses plastic in a tension mode for which it is poorly suited. I have had several fail, one from over tightening (which is quite easy to do) and one that simply parted on its own. If this were a stainless clamp ring, like a hose clamp, it would never fail but then Whale couldn't charge you $25 for a new one.
