Perko Gas Tank Vent 3/4"" version - not enough overhang

The bigger 3/4"" hose version has very small overhang (distance between the edge of the hood and the threaded section). If your hull hole is oversize by even a millimeter you will see a gap where the hood does not cover the hole. So you need to be precise when cutting your hole. Other aspects of the product are very nice. It is robust and nicely manufactured.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: How often did you have to clear the screening, and did you find you had to pull the hose and remove the fitting to do it? Were you okay with that or would you recommend a more access-friendly fitting? Thanks!

A: Have not needed to clean the screen so far. On my boat it would be easy to remove and clean.
