I use these cables to replace Morse 33C cables on a Yanmar diesel for sail boat. They fit perfectly. Only observation is that the throttle cable is so smooth and frictionless that the spring return on the engine pulled the throttle too hard at full power, requiring me to hold the throttle with my hand at high settings. I squeezed the cable by putting a couple of hose clamps on the cable at the control lever end and it seems to work fine. I was surprised that there wasn't a friction adjustment in the control lever unit.

Universal with a slight modification

Used in an 89 Tiara and am very happy. Shifts smoother than ever but did have to make a modification to one of the pieces from the old cable to get it to work.

No problem with installation. Works so, so much better than old shift and throttle cables.

The Teleflex Black Jacket 3300 TFXTREME Control Cable was perfect for my boat. I was replacing a throttle cable that was damaged from a stuck pivot lever on the engine. I have a 460 Dancer with twin 3208's and this cable fit like a glove. About a 45 minute project.

I live in Canada and was not able to make the phone call. When I emailed looking dor help I received an email within minutes and was directed to the right parts number. Great Customer Service. But that's not all. Due to past experience with cross border shopping I figured I'd be waiting weeks. I placed the order and days later my wife said you received a package. Amazing. I opened the package and sure enough, it was exactly what I had ordered. Installation was less than an hour. Thanks!

If your controls are getting stiff and imprecise, these are the answer. Of course my old cables were 32 years old!

Q: null I looking to replace an old throttle cable of a 1965 Chris Craft 17' Custom Ski. The cable that is there shows a part number of Morse 33M 9Ft 41T. Not sure on the last 3 number/letters? What cable will work? It is for throttle only because the shifter for the transmission is on the floor. Thanks

A: Probably interchange with a 9' Teleflex control cable. Assuming he is measuring it tip to tip. Most cables for this purpose use a 1/4"" fine thread or similar in metric if the ends are male threads on both the inner and outer on both ends it should be a snap. If it has a special end, he may have to fabricate something if Teleflex does not have such a cable readily available. Good luck. Mivins

Q: null What is the preference with the two Teleflex cables? (Red and Black versions).

A: I purchased the black cables for the throttle and shift controls on the binnacle on my sail boat. Very smooth operation even with several rather tight directional changes. I recommend these highly.
