Its for my boat Motor cooling system. The product would be better if it was made of glass and not plastic.

Q: What is the height of the arg 753 sight glass? The one I have is 4"" from the o-ring at the top to the bottom of the sight glass.

A: Hi there. We do not have an exact measurement on this part, but from the height of the whole strainer assembly and the measurement provided for the strainer assembly head, we estimate the height of the glass to be about 7 inches. If you need an exact measurement, please contact Groco at 410-604-3800.

Q: My glass reservoir is broken. Can it be replaced without replacing the whole unit? Ifso, how is it removed?

A: The glass can be replaced, and this is becoming slightly more common as some units are 30+ years old. The seals and gaskets are all available separately as well. The 4 bolts that hold the glass onto the bronze base need to be unscrewed. When reassembling with the new glass with a new gasket, be sure not to over tighten the bolts, as it can crack or break the new glass. It just needs to be snug enough that the gasket can do its thing.

A: It does not appear that the glass does not come with anything else. The link to the ARG series with all replacement parts is attached so if there are any other components needed, you can find them easily. https://www.groco.net/media/file/file/a/r/arg-series_6.pdf
