Product Details

Midland Metal 45 Degree Street Elbows are manufactured from smooth-cored castings, designed to provide full flow with minimum restriction. All threads are accurately machined and gauged to ensure a perfect fit with the pipe. All fittings are individually tested under water to ensure quality.

NPT (tapered) threads should be sealed with PTFE plumbing tape or equivalent.

Q: null Is this actual bronze with a zinc content below 5%, would be nice to know actual grade of bronze

A: Sorry, we don't have any info on zinc content, midland industries shows it's ASTM B62-93 (85,5,5,5) C83600

Q: null Dear Sirs. I wish to use this fitting on my engine intake through hull which is bronze. Is this fitting suitable for use between the through hull and the Bronze ball valve? Boat in salt water. Regards Mark Reynolds.

A: You could, generally you want a seacock on the thru hull to be able to shut off any water flow right at that fitting.
