Used this as an interior paint for a home boat build. It went a long way. Lays down well. Highly recommend.

Despite two coats of high build primer and two coats of topcoat, the boat came out ""blotchy ""

Apply light coats. Allow overnight dry. Absolutely beautiful finish.

Very difficult to match 35 year-old gelcoat as it is different shades in different areas of the hull and deck. I purchased two colors and am able to custom blend small amounts and match the different areas perfectly. Very pleased

Easy to apply. Recommend using a foam brush for a smooth finish.

I use the EZ Poxy system including the Pettit primer. Very easy system.

I used this paint on my 14' aluminum boat. I sanded down the old paint with 120 grit sandpaper. This left some areas of bare aluminum and some areas of tightly adhered old paint. I painted directly over this without any primer (contrary to Petit recommendations). Two coats came out looking great and the boat has been used heavily this season with no sign of any paint failure.

Used ezpoxy on my houseboat aluminum side panels. Turn out great , love the color seafoam green. I used foam roller and brush to apply.

I love this stuff. It is great paint. No it's not the lowest price but you do get what you pay for. This Hatteras Off-white is perfect for my Sunfish projects.

Using on a plywood door that gets full south sun and weather. Went on easy,and did 4 coats with no primer.nice gloss Finnish that I like. Time will tell,if it last till next summer without plywood blowing up I will be extremely happy

I needed Pettit Ocean Blue ASAP in the middle of a project. Jamestown had it to me in a couple of days at a price that was better than most. Great folks to work with (after I screwed up my initial order). I like these people.

Use a thin brush, apply a thin coat, and think three coats to get to perfection...

I chose this paint to finish two speaker cabinets with physical features that would be very difficult to spray-paint successfully. It worked perfectly--this paint flows extremely well, and hides brush strokes very well, without thinning. Follow the instructions to apply thin layers only, and use a Trylon thin angle brush.

Really nice paint and easy to work with. However do not follow the manufacturer recommendations for spaying. 1.4 to 1.8 mm nozzle will be plenty enough, and NO NEED to thin. The paint is extremely liquid by nature and certainly do not need to be thinned. Beside this learning curve worked great.

I loved the color and application. However it doesn't seem to hold up well! It seems to scratch off fairly easily. Prep work was sanding per instructions. It doesn't seem like a very hard finish. Wondering if there is an additional application product to harden the finish?

I use this paint five years ago on my 65 foot boat on the water line. The boat Has sit in salt water all this time. No change since the day I Put it on. It used a 4 inch roller right at the water line When I did the bottom paint. Since I had such great luck with this product. I'm going to paint my Manlift with the same paint. Yes I recommend this paint highly.

Use this with Pettit performance enhancer to make a highly durable scratch resistant paint. It goes on smooth with roller or brush@

I added Pettit performance enhancer 3021, and with a Mohair roller it turn out great

I chose because of color, and it is good. I also chose because it is one part epoxy and it worked good. It took forever to dry hard, but my weather I am sure had a lot to do with it. It does scratch easily but it is not gel coat so what can you expect. I did prime first and used 2 coats. We will see how it lasts for the summer.

Added Easygrip non-slip grit to paint, mixed thoroughly with paint mixer on a drill,used 1/4"" nap roller after cutting-in with brush. A 7'x14' motorcycle trailer plus v-nose and ramp took about 2 hours after prep and prime. Coat went on evenly and easily- one coat was plenty. Adhered beautifully to Pettit EZ prime, dry to walk on in 24hrs (about 65 deg F)

Does a super job refreshing the surface of fiberglass boats.

I used this product on top side trim line around my flybridge. That was nearly 20 years ago. This held up amazingly well.I just repainted with the same product.

Very nice paint when used with the additive. If your doing the job in stages then only mix half of can at a time. Will harden up in a week or so.

I used this to paint my livewwll after repairing some chips.. came out great Has a real hard shinny finish easy to work on small curvy area / I'd assume as easy on large flat as well

Paint was thinner than I would like, with several coats it covered very well. Be sure to use a small nap roller.

I nave used topside paint on everything from 24ft alum boat to red on my frt door And a mind blowing shine & people COULD not believe me that I used a brush..The more u us this topside paint the better you get and it looks sprayed...Ive been using this for over 20 yrs,,Use to be 12.95 qt Ha Ha long time ago & the black is gourgas!!! highly recomend anything outside in sun looks great for a long long time Mike Welsh

I applied this paint, using roll & tip method, diluted 5% with 120 thinner; surface was prepped to 150 grit, per Pettit spec, washed with ammonia & water and rinsed, per Pettit spec. Surface temperature (measured by laser thermometer) was 72°F. The paint was applied on a Friday and I was unable to get back to do the second coast until Monday ( 72 hrs ). Given the time between coats I decided to lightly sand with 220 grit ... the result was that the paint immediately balled up, like little balls of chewing gum, on the sandpaper and completely peeled off the surface. While sanding I discovered that a fingernail would easily peel the paint off the surface. I was in total amazement ... zero surface adhesion. The only saving grace, at this point, is that the paint comes off easily. Reading other glowing reviews I can only come to the conclusion that Pettit's quality control must be nonexistent. From the reviews I read, before purchasing, I expected better from the brand.

This is a good product for amateurs to maintain their boat finishes. Easy to work with and gives a good finish. A real improvement over oil based paint.
