3M Hookit Backup Disc Pads 8 Inch

Backup pad for disc sanders using 3M Hookit abrasive discs. Pad face securely holds the discs with hook and loop attachment, allowing easy change and reattachment. Pad is lightweight, shock resistant and well balanced. Edges are contoured to allow for sanding curves and close to moldings.

Tough, durable plastic hub and 8 inch foam body designed to fit all standard 5/8" shaft for a maximum sander safe operating speed: 12,000 rpm and slow speed polishers for a maximum safe operating speed of 3000 rpm.

Available in hard and soft version. The soft pad features soft foam construction and tapered edge offer a high degree of conformability providing a uniform finish when sanding contours and curves. Fits all standard (5/8 in shaft) slow-speed polishers. Hard pads have contoured edges to allow for sanding curves and close to moldings.
