Perko Bronze Ribbed Rowlock Horns are made of manganese bronze and feature an end hole for safety chains. Horns are sold in pairs. Locks have a 2" distance between horns.

I bought these to put on a rowing dinghy that I built for use with 9 foot oars. I laced on leathers to protect the oars. A dab of grease on the shanks and the rowing is smooth and quiet. The open design of the horns allow for easy feathering on the return stroke. These oarlocks look great on a wooden boat and have stood up to some very aggressive (at least for this old guy)rowing.

Q: Do these oarlocks come with chains for securing to the oarlock socket?

A: No these oarlocks don't come with chains. However, a piece of wire or cotter pin would secure them in the oarlock socket.

Q: What size is the shank? If I buy your top mount bronze oarlock sockets will these oarlocks fit?

A: I believe it is the standard shank which fits standard oar lock sockets.

A: Yes, they are machined for 1/2quote sockets.

Q: I have a drascombe lugger with a socket which requires a 31/4quote shank on the oar lock. Do you have a horn rowlock with that dimension?
