Part fits perfectly.

Was happy to get the thru hull that was a perfect replacement for my bilge discharge fitting. I had tried two other thru hull brands of same size but they were not true to size for the hose. This T-H Marine part fit perfectly and seemed to be the exact replacement the boat builder had used.

Q: null can i install this plug at the rear of the boat and will it take a reg boat plug to close it off while underway ?
13 years ago1 Answer
A: Albert, any plastic thru hull fitting is designed to be used above the waterline. So if you are talking about using this in the place of the standard bilge/transom drain, then the answer is no. You should search for the term __quote__drain plug__quote__ and get the correct fitting. However, if you are just running a drain fitting from a box, livewell, etc to the boat transom to drain above the water line, then the answer would be yes. And there are many types of snap-in and other drain plugs that would work with this fitting.

Q: null hi, I'm ttying to locate small straight through or 90 degree (white plastic) bulk head fittings. I need to mount them below my newly installed drink cup holders on a boat. The hose from the cup is only 1/4 inch so I would like a 3/8 inch fitting , if there is such a thing? Thanks Derek
13 years ago2 Answers
A: There are no marine industry thru hulls that are that small. The smallest is 1/2__quote__. For cup holders, most people just direct the hose into the bilge area and let it drain there, where it will drain out thru your transom drain, or bilge pump. Most cup holders have a 3/8__quote__ drain. The only fittings I know of that are that small at all are T-H Marines part numbers PD-1 (black) / PD-2 (white), which can be used as a drain exit above the water line. You can go to T-H Marine website and search for PD-1 and you will find that part.
