It only makes sense that you should use a Marine grade Stainless Nut with your Stainless Carriage Bolt or Hex Cap. Remember though that Stainless Steel will sometimes seize or gall when tightened under load--especially with larger sized fasteners. To prevent this apply a little Never-Seize or Anti-seizing compound.
