3M 2090 Scotch Blue painter's tape is a medium adhesion flat-back masking tape that removes cleanly from surfaces up to 7 (outdoors) or 14 days (indoors) after its applied. This moisture, solvent, and sunlight resistant masking tape is recommended for interior and exterior painting projects.

A longtime boatyard favorite, 2090 is also ideal for most smooth or delicate surfaces including most fresh paints, wallpaper, wood surfaces and wall board. Water-based or solvent based and stain coatings can be applied. Scotch Blue tape is not compatible with lacquer coatings or surfaces. Sold by the roll in 3/4, 1, 1 1/2, and 1.88 inch widths.

A super all purpose tape

I always keep several rolls in different widths in my shop. The blue tape is the stuff to use! Ordinary brown masking tape can be very touch to remove if left on a surface too long. I never have any problems with the blue stuff.

Q: Which tape should you use if you want to make a 2quote rounded corner? 3/4 tape doesn't bend that easy. Do they sell a 3/8quote tape for this purpose?
