UK man buys USA Quality
I visit the US 3 to 4 times a year and I always come back with some chandlery. The quality and choice and price beats the UK suppliers (even thought the exchange rate is poor for us at the moment?

Q: Could this be used as a circuit breaker and cut off switch for a trolling motor? The manufacturer recommends a 50 amp breaker. Blue sea doesn't list a Series 185 on their website, but a Series 285 that looks identical. Is this the same?

A: I am using the Series 185 as a circuit breaker only between my Deep Cycle battery and my trolling motor. Blue Sea Systems says: 'Circuit Breakers - 285-Series Provides medium duty circuit protection for 25 to 200 Amp loads when switching and circuit protection are both required__quote__ and is a __quote__Drop in replacement for 185-Series Circuit Breakers__quote__. I assume it would work as a cutoff switch, but would be hard on the contacts, IMO.
