EC Cutter Electric Cordless Scissors easily cuts through fiberglass, carbon fiber, marine canvas, and Kevlar like a hot knife through butter! This unique, lightweight, portable cutter has multiple uses in the workshop or home. Excellent for cutting patterns and hand-laid laminates. The ergonomic handle reduces strain on your hands while the unique blade design prevents cuts and other injuries.

Give your fingers a break and take the work out of cutting. These electric shears make quick work of reinforcement fabrics at the push of a button. The unique blade configuration cuts fabrics and vinyls with ease, but can't cut your fingers. The rechargeable battery provides hours of use between charges, and eliminates the need for awkward or restrictive power cords.

Complete electric scissors kit includes: Standard and flat base blades, rechargeable battery, 110V battery charger, AC adapter, and transformer with power cord.

EC-Cutter cordless electric scissors are specifically designed to cut tough fabrics like Aramid, Kevlar, carbon fiber cloth and more. The EC-Cutter features a light weight, ergonomic shape that eliminates the fatigue associated with manual cutting.

A powerful, long lasting rechargeable battery means there is no cord to trip over or get in the way of larger work pieces. Unique half-moon shaped blades are hardened to stay sharper longer than conventional cordless scissors.

Short, rapid strokes mean accurate, clean cuts for intricate work. The short cutting stroke makes the EC-Cutter less suitable for cutting materials thicker than 1/8 inch.

Warranty Information

Six month Manufacturer's warranty. The electric scissors are guaranteed free of defects in workmanship for 6 months from date of purchase. Receipts must be retained as proof of purchase.

would buy again

a year ago

purchased for cutting fiberglass cloth on a 1966 23-3 formula thunderbird but have not used it yet for that .Have used it to cut some vinyl sheeting for bottom of a cabinet refacing and cut up some thick cotton towels to reupholster a cat tower for my two cats scissors worked great much better than the ones i purchased and returned to home depot.

I wish I knew about these scissors sooner!

I purchased these scissors to cut fabric for aircraft covering and while the fabric is not a challenge to cut with normal scissors it is hard to get a consistent cut going around a curved surface. That is where these scissors shine. I am able the make a long curved cut without having to move more than my finger to activate the trigger. I can use both hands to cut and the scissors do not care which way they are held unlike traditional scissors.

The ease of cutting any glass with the efficiency and time saving easily makes up for any cost of this priceless tool. Cuts like butts baby even thru woven, and the battery lasts for hours. I would buy this over and over again.

Use for work cutting foam products.Super sharp and fast cutting. The plastic pins that holds blade into cutter breaks to easily after a while. I will keep buy it though.

Hit or miss... I missed

Have the same problem someone else did, the heads won't change. Something is obviously manufactured incorrectly as, right out of the box, the head I want to use won't snap on. It just won't. I've tried everything. Bought because Andy (Boatworks Today) has one that works great. I guess he got lucky. Feels like cheap construction, hit or miss quality, price is too high. Expect better better products from JD.

Worth the investment

I had one of these before and loved it. Its so much faster than using regular scissors. If you are doing a lot of fiberglass work this is the way to go. Just keep it clean, unlike what i did. I had a bad habit of grabbing it with epoxy on my hands. It lasted about 15 Plus years so it was worth it.

Q: How intricate can it cut? I currently have the Dremel electric scissors - the blade length is 1.75""- and the blade is too big to cut smooth small curves. I am cutting through thick paper all day and have developed tendonitis so am looking for something that might aid in precision scissor cutting. Or if there is a better pair please let me know! Thanks in advance!

A: I thinkreese3000 said it pretty well. The accuracy of cutting a small/tight curve is dependent on having sharp cutting edges, a strong battery (if the battery is running low it cuts slower, can be tough to cut turns as smooth)

Q: Can these scissors be used for dressmaker fabrics? I have a hand problem and cannot use regular scissor easily. I had a Sears plug in model electric scissors for years, but it wore out. I really need a new one.

A: Don't support this vendor used them for EBATES rewards and they did not honor thier word saying they no longer was a vendor but yet I found them through Ebates very shady ripped me off twenty dollars. Q: I work for a medical device company and am interested in these electric scissors to cut plastic (PETG) thermoformed trays that at are 0.005"" thick (0.127mm). Does anyone have experience using this cutter on clam shell packaging or plastic sheeting? What has been your experience?

A: Hi, we use this scissors to cut 100% coton everyday in our quilt shop. Tried to cut a tray from from a frozen dinner, work well on the flat side bottom but would not cut the ridge. Was 0.015'' 0.39mm PETE Edmond
