Product Details

3M-01549 is available in grade 80 only, 8 inch disc, green in color with a heavy D weight paper backing. A more durable longer lasting product designed to be used down to bare metal. Discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive for easy application and removal.

3M-01556, 3M-01550, 3M-01551 and 3M-01552 are available in grades 60E thru 24E, 8 inch discs, green in color with a heavy E weight paper backing. Individually linered, pressure-sensitive adhesive backed discs with a tough mineral designed to go down to bare metal.

An all mineral/bond construction and tough D or E weight backing provides for a fast cutting, long lasting abrasive disc. Excellent for coarse sanding of hull and deck areas.

Simply the best sand paper made

I've used the green core disks in most grits for fairing wood boat hulls. The product cuts aggressively and lasts quite a while. Expensive but worth the extra money over cheaper Brands.

be careful when using

15 years ago

i used it to rough fair fiberglass hull. great for hard fillers, removes material fast. one has to be careful with technique, or disk flies off pad.
