Product Details

TotalBoat 2:1 Epoxy Pumps are metered to make measuring and dispensing the exact amount of TotalBoat 2:1 Resins and Hardeners quick, neat, and easy. Pumps provide the precise 2:1 mix ratio so you get a proper cure every time without worrying about measuring correctly. This simple 2:1 epoxy pump system requires just one full stroke of Resin and one full stroke of Hardener dispensed into a mixing cup. Stir resin & hardener thoroughly and apply.

The 2:1 resin pump has a white pump head, and the 2:1 hardener pump has a white pump head with a black dot on it indicating the 2:1 mix ratio.

These pumps are compatible with TotalBoat High Performance 2:1 Epoxy Resin/Hardeners and TotalBoat Penetrating Epoxy Resin/Hardener in Quart Kit and larger sizes.

Info & Guides
TotalBoat 2:1 Epoxy Pumps are designed for use with TotalBoat 2:1 High Performance Epoxy Resin/Hardener and TotalBoat Penetrating Epoxy Resin/Hardener ONLY.

IMPORTANT: Pumps are calibrated and measured to automatically dispense the appropriate 2:1 mix ratio with ONE-pump of Resin to ONE-pump of Hardener.

After trimming, if needed, and properly inserting pumps, be sure to prime the pumps before use by pushing down and releasing the head of each pump several times until you get a steady stream of liquid without any air pockets.

NOTE: Pumps do not work with pint sized resin kits.

Necessary for half gallon and up

These make measuring out the sealer much easier and efficient. My only complaint is that your first batch may be slightly off because the pumps are a bit uneven when priming. Other than that. Well worth jt.

I have finished my first coat on the 3/4"" Douglas Fir plywood and ready for step 2. It's easy and very applicable for mixing and clean up. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to replace their pontoon boat deck. Thank you for your high quality and reasonable priced sealer for my pontoon boat. I believe it is the best choice I made.

Questions

1 - 9 of 9 Questions

Q: Do I have to replace pump with original cap for long term storage? If so, how long can I leave pump installed?

4 Answers

A: Hi Clint. We recommend putting the caps back on if you don't plan to use the epoxy again for more than a few weeks. If it will be a month or more before you use it again, put the caps back on and flush the pumps with denatured alcohol or white vinegar, then store each one separately in an airtight baggie. They should be good to go when you're ready to use them again.

Q: I need to replace the pump on a plastic container of High Performance Epoxy Fast Hardener, Group Size A. The pump has a red dot on top. This is a 2:1 mix ratio pump. It looks like the red dot has been replaced by the black dot on the 2:1 pump, Group Size A. Please confirm. Thanks for helping out.

A: Hey there. Yes, this is the correct new pump set to use. Please ensure that you replace both of your old pumps, though, because you cannot mix and match this set with your old one.

Q: Do these work for Group Size A total boat epoxy containers?

A: For small batches, I measure the right proportions in little 2 oz. plastic cups; e.g. for a 1:1 ratio of epoxy, I pour equal amounts into the cups, mix them, and then pour the mixture into the syringe. Then I turn the syringe upside down, shove the plunger til all the air is displaced, and then inject. Good luck.

Q: Is there a pump kit that fits the pint and half pint penetrating epoxy bottles?

2 Answers

A: Probably yes. You don't mention a brand, so I can't be more specific. I use picnic spoons of plastic for most very small batches. For penetrating epoxy metal spoons are appropriate. Cleanup with acetone with proper precautions. Capn John

Q: Approximately how much product do you get with one plunge of each pump? I realize there is a 2:1 mixing ratio so I'm looking for the total volume of resin and hardener you get after plunging each pump once. Thx
