Product Details

A 400 ML Manual Adhesive Dispensing Gun is required for all Plexus 400mL and 490 mL adhesive cartridges. The Cox M400XMR and M400XMR/10 have a plunger with a 26:1 mechanical advantage that operates on a hydraulic action, creating a smoother flow than most caulking guns.

The M400XMR dispenses the two components of the adhesive in the proper 1:1 or 2:1 ratio. The M400XMR/10 dispenses the two components of the adhesive in the proper 10:1 ratio. With the use of a static mixing nozzle (sold separately), the A and B parts are mixed thoroughly and dispensed properly. This side-loading frame design provides fast, easy, mess-free cartridge change outs.

Correction to my recent review

In my recent review, I mistakenly said the tap used was a 1/4""-20. That was quite wrong; it should have said M8 X 1.25 (metric, not inches). Anyway, the tapping is easy to do (use 17/64"" pilot drill to open up the hole in the M aster part prior to tapping). The Cox gun is really nice to use!. In this case, am using Plexus MA 425 to adhesively bond/pop-rivet thin-wall steel fittings to aluminum tubing. Long open time of MA 425 allowed for multiple set-ups over an hour period using only one mixing nozzle and perhaps 1/4 of the cartridge content.

If you're going to apply a 1:10 product, be sure to order the M400XMR/10. Mistakenly, I didn't and needed a quick fix. I ordered M aster-Carr P/N 92510A773, a 5/8"" O.D X 3/8"" long aluminum spacer, tapped it with a 1/4""-20 tap and substituted it for the (larger diameter) activator push pad on my 1:1/1:2 model, and now I have a tool that is adaptable to both types of 490 ml adhesive cartridges.
