Works great with Varnish

Fine foam works great with varnish. Halcyon (water clean up) is a great match for this roller!

**review is for the 10 Pack** NOT EPIFANES BRAND!! Very Bad

The 10 pack are NOT Epifanes Brand!! They are NOT solvent resistant like the Epifanes ones! I should have known, looking at the label. They swelled instantly using 2 part paint! They came off the plastic core, so they are not solvent resistant. I recently bought them, and they are starting to yellow already. They are kept inside out of UV. I have some older Epifanes brand rollers, they are still white. The 10 pack is not a good product, at least for 2 part paints. See pictures on how much they swelled up. They won't even fit in the tray after 10 minutes!! Perhaps the 4 pack is original, but the 10 pack is not! They may be OK for varnish or one part paint, but not for 2 part paint!

Almost as bad as the 9"" rollers

These froam rollers didn't last long. I would say 10 minutes. That's twice as long as the 9"" rollers will fell apart in 5 minutes (no exaggeration). I ended up going to Home Depot and buying cheap foam rollers which actually lasted much longer than these. I'd say don't waste your money.

Epifanes Rollers: Good for the Task/Wear Out

Went with Epifanes products to ensure continuity with the LP primer and enamel system. The rollers do a great job both vertically and horizontally ... however the edges (both flat and rounded) need to be monitored ... they tend to leave lines no matter what. Sometimes a lighter touch ... or slightly canting the roller helps. The roller covers tend to wear our or have diminished performance after about an hour ... change out regularly. Wish the Epifane provided a 9"" roller for larger vertical surfaces ... the 6"" work OK ... but one has to be careful about backrolling and lines. Found that Epifance LPU primer and enamel could be rolled with one pass ... and didn't like to be back brushed. Rolled paint levels out nicely without it.
