Biobor JF - Diesel Fuel Microbicide is a liquid fuel additive that combats fungus and other microbial life in hydrocarbon fuels, such as diesel fuels, but is also effective in light oils and transmission fluid.
Biobor JF eliminates growth of harmful slime-producing fungi that clog filters and pipelines, attack rubber fuel system components and whose waste products aid in the corrosion of metal surfaces.
Biobor JF is simple to use and harmless to the wide variety of fuel system parts, top coatings, sealants and elastomeric materials tested. It does not adversely affect fuel performance in engines.
Biobor JF is an effective microbiocide because of its equilibrium solubility in both fuel and water under conditions of fuel storage.

Just pour in the recommended dose and your diesel fuel is protected. I have been using it for about four years - never had a problem with my diesel fuel over that time period.

Trying to restore stuck fuel guage

Want to see if it will free up a stuck diesel fuel tank guage. Might have built up a bacteria problem. Will know more after a couple hundred road miles, but do see some signs of life now that I feel were not there before I added 4 oz.

Boibar Solved My Problem

I have a motor home with a Cummins 330hp motor. It sat for almost 2 years and when it was used I experienced partial stalls that appeared to be the result of a stopped up fuel filter. After changing filters the problem remained. I had also had the problem of an inaccurate fuel guage. Now I know after using Boibar that both problems were due to alge growth in the old fuel. Now everythimg works great, thanks to your product. I would like to know why the bottle states ""not for on-road use"" as it certainly worked for me.

Q: null What is the shelf life?

A: I called the company and asked this question. They said shelf-life is three years. There is a date on the bottom of the bottle.

Q: null Can I take Biobor on an airplane when flying from Florida back to my boat in Chile? If not, what is a similar product available in Chile. No one we ask seems to know.

A: I doubt you could take more than 3oz of any liquid on any plane these days. I'm pretty sure it could be shipped to you in Chile however. Check with customer service at JTown. Ric

Q: null Hi is it possible to add your product Biobor JF - Diesel Fuel Biocide in my tank of diesel , were i already put ANOTHER BIOICIDE. A: Practical Sailor Magazine recommends blending Biobor JF with Starbrite Startron Enzyme treatment in order to help reduce corrosion. I do not know if there are negative results from mixing with other enzyme treatments. I also do not know for sure if there is an expiration date on the product, but the bottle shows no date on the front label. You can find a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the product on the Biobor website (in french, english, or spanish) which lists the ingredients.

A: If your MG-B has a diesel engine it should be just fine to use Biobor JF - Diesel Fuel Microbicide.

Q: null If I add Biobor JF when I fill up, is there any reason to add more Biobor between fill-ups? I have a sailboat and the diesel does not get used much.

A: I have a diesel tractor & I'm up in my years now & use my tractor very little but if you want to keep the fungus out you should treat the fuel every year even though your not using much. I've been using the same diesel I paid $.58 cents a gallon, if that tells you how long I've had it plus I use the Pri-D diesel treatment every year & the stuff still works good for me. A: I use Pri D & Biobor Diesel full microbe & have no problem. Ones for fungus & other for addative for storage

A: No, its just a biocide. Nothing short of cleaning the tank and adding a water separator gets rid of water once it is in the tank. I have a 10 mil filter and water separator installed prior to the 3mil filter on the motor. This added to a dual tank / filter system lets me swap filters and fuel supply if I have trouble. The reason for the biocide is I can't use the fuel fast enough and it goes stale with stuff growing in it.

A: 1 oz. per 40 is the shock treatment, for basic its a .5 oz. per 40 gallons so thats 2.5 oz for a 200 gallons
