Product Details

These West System pumps provide accurate metering of all Group Size A, B and C West System 105 Epoxy Resin, 205 Fast Hardener, 206 Slow Hardener, 207 Special Clear Hardener, and 209 Extra Slow Hardener. They mount directly on resin and hardener containers and eliminate the messes associated with measuring by weight or volume.

Calibrated to deliver the proper working ratio, the West System Pump Set includes one resin pump and two hardener pumps. As packaged, the epoxy pumps are ready to install on Group Size B containers. The set also comes with a package of extension tubes for the smaller Group Size A containers. Group Size C extension tubes are included in the 105C Resin and in the 207-SC or 209-SC packages.

Info & Guides

If necessary, you can combine different group sized-as long as all of the pumps have a yellow head. To avoid confusion and possible off-ratio metering, 300 Mini Pumps have yellow heads, which should not be used in with any older pumps with a white head (301 and 303 pumps).

1 Answer

A: Not sure exactly what you are asking but when you are using the pumps, they measure it for you. All you need is one pump of hardener for every pump of resin.

Q: null About how much surface area will a gallon of resin cover?

1 Answer

A: Hey Steven. Thanks for reaching out. Coverage depends on coating thickness, porosity of the surface, and whether you're simply pouring the epoxy or using it to wet out fiberglass. Please give us a call at 800-497-0010 for help specific to your project.

Q: null How do you know which of the three pumps is for resin and which two are for the hardener, and which of the two hardener pumps is for which type of hardener? Are the pumps marked as such?

A: They are marked resin and hardener. Hardeners have different size screw tops so you can't mix them up

Q: null Are these for use with 3 to 1 ratio 2-part epoxy sets or 5 to 1 or 2 to 1 or 1 to 1?

A: Budd, I bought my set several years ago, so cannot recall exactly. But I never used my set. I ended up pouring the resin and activator out of the cans into small cups and weighed each part in 5 to 1 ratio. I bought a small digital scale and it was easy to do some quick math and get a good mix. Never had any problems about getting the mixture correct using that method. But, also important to note, I am using West System Epoxy on RC Aircraft vs a sailboat. Not sure how using a fairly small amount of epoxy is going to translate to your usage. Lane

Q: null I have several different West Hardeners in the pint size. Are just the punt size pumps for sale? Having to by two extra pumps to get one kinda rubs me the wrong way. Business practices like that may make me seek an alternate product.

A: Hi Kappis, I'm afraid you need to buy the whole set, even if you only need one pump. That said, I have successfully restored a pump to function by running Acetone through it. This usually clears up any ""gunk"" that may be clogging it up, or preventing the spring loaded ball bearing valve from properly operating. Matt

A: I have left dispencer pumps ( small 205 & 206 resin ) stay in the containers for I don't know ! Got to be at least over a year ; every thing works fine , resin sets up just fine. Been using west system for maybe 40 years and never had a failure ( wood boat repair etc. ) So its up to you, to bad more folks haven't given you a reponse . Try GBI inc they will definitly set you straight.
