Excellent Customer Service

The product itself is very good. The main reason for my rating is the customer service that Jamestown Distributors has. BrianP put my order together and shipped it. I had originally clicked on 2 day shipping, but he emailed me and told me he was changing it to standard shipping because I would get it in 2 days, anyway. Then, when I recieved my order, there was a critical part missing. I immediately emailed Brian and had the new part in 2 days. I can't say enough about this company. There may be cheaper options, but you are not going to get the personalized service. WELL WORTH the extra few dollars!

Went In Much Easier Than it Came Out!

I got the full set with the mating steering worm gear to eliminate the possibility of non-compatibility. That ""insurance"" cost me $8 more than just getting the rack gear and cable. Well worth it!

Q: null Looking to replace my entire steering system on my 19ft center console Trophy boat. Need a new NFB-Back Mount Rack System, looks like part # SS14119-19ft. Existing is 189"" cable length, plus the additional 30"". The existing system is 18'-5"" end to end. I am hoping the addition 7"" (19' vs 18-5"") will be okay. Can you verify? I might be able to make the SS14119-18ft work as there was a little slack in the old system.

A: Mike I would remove the old cable and locate the old part number if possible. 189"" is 15.75' I don't believe you count the back rack (30""). I would say you need the 16' cable. I measured wrong the first time and had to send the cable back and get a new one. My boat is a side steer 17.5. I needed a 14' cable. My recommendation is to remove the old cable and locate the old part number. Hope this helps

Q: null I have a 1994 Larson 194 LXI has a Teleflex system number under the dash is 9155310 that is on the part the steer wheel attaches to. My steering is hard has power steering and I have replaced the pump, hoses and the ram mounted in the back behind the motor. I bought the boat used and it sat unused for a few years. This has a single cable going to the ram. Would you tell me what cable I need or what I have to do to get power steering back.
