Q: null if I exceed the limit on a speedometer will it damage the gage ?

A: I believe it will depend on how much you exceed the limit. To a certian point if it a small amounti dont believe it will cause damage

Q: null I have a Teleflex pro series fuel guage . which in tank level indicator goes with the guage? I have been told that I need one the is compatable, and that they are usually sold together.

A: In this case I think not--if I remember right--I bought tanks with and they had electro/mechanical sender/floats installed already. As an aside: these gauges are worth every penny because they work, are easily visible, and are easy to install.
