Beware plastic cracked and split open causing a major leak.

After being installed a year in my 26 foot shamrock, I hooked up my hose to flush the engine and the housing split open. I own an older version of flush unit before and the older version was made with better materials. I am just thankful I was not out at sea when it happened, it could have sunk my boat. So my advise don't buy any plastic unit.

I would not buy this product

THE PERKO FLUSH VALVE MALFUNCTIONED DUE TO ONE SMALL BARNICLE IN THE PLASTIC VALVE WHICH STUCK CLOSED. THE BARNICLE PAST THRU MY STRAINERS THIS CAUSED THE RAW WATER RISER TO OVERHEAT AND CAUSE SMALL LEAKS IN THE RISER. HAD TO REPLACE BOTH RISERS. PERKO CLAIMED NO RESPONSIBILTY. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN.
