Safe-Skeg is designed to protect and repair new, broken or worn in skegs on outboards and i/o lower units fast. Constructed from durable stainless steel, it can be installed in minutes without welding. Safe-Skeg is offered in a variety of models designed to suit most major brands of outboards and stern drives. Safe-Skeg is made of 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Construction and installation takes minutes. The included Install Kit Includes: Mounting hardware, instructions, allen wrench and Loctite 262.

Q: null My lower unit comes to a point. Most skegs have a flat bottom. How will this work? 1999 mercury outboard blue water series.

A: Hard to tell without knowing what horsepower your engine is but if it listed on the application guide, the matching skeg should work. Since there are so many different models, the one skeg pictured on the web page may be a different shape than the one that fits your motor.
