Product Details

The Shurhold 3100 dual action polisher lets novices and do-it-yourselfers polish like a pro. Professional auto detailers and boat polishing services usually work with rotary tools that provide fantastic results when wielded correctly. However, rotary polishers with high rpm spinning wheels can also easily burn through paint and leave swirl marks when used incorrectly.

This polisher has a dual action, 6 inch oscillating head that eliminates these issues. You can now get the same great finish without the risk of paint or finish damage. No more tedious hand waxing. Detailing and finish maintenance projects like waxing and buffing can be done in half the time, with half the amount of wax or polishing compound, and at half the effort required.

Info & Guides
The Shurhold 3100 has some convenient and important features that differentiate it from other polishers. Velcro backed polishing pads are easy to change out. It has a built in GFCI (ground fault current interrupter) to cut off power in the event it is submerged or otherwise shorted, and a 20 foot power cord makes it easy to move around when buffing boats.

At the 2009 Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show, the 3100 was honored by the NMMA with an innovation award in the boat care and maintenance tools category.

I bought it and got rid of it

It weighs about 5 pounds. Too heavy to use for more than 5 minutes. Most jobs take more than 5 minutes to complete

Waxing your boat couldn't get any easier!!! Finish is excellent. Very high gloss. First time user so I do not know how well it will hold up. Only time will tell.

Not a bad tool, but some flaws

The machine itself is very solidly built, but light enough to work with it comfortably, also overhead. The long power cable is also a big plus. The only draw back are the polishing pads: The velcro on the wool pads is very flimsy, and if you lift the polisher off the surface with the pad spinning, the velcro will rip out and it will fly all across the yard. No DIY repair possible And it is very difficult to find replacements, online ordering and waiting for shipping is pretty much the only option. Not even Westmarine stocks the pads, so you can easily lose a week if that happens to you.

awsome. works as advertised.

I've never polished a boat before. I saw a video of shurline, how it is ""guaranteed "" not to create swirl or burn marks. I bought it, and loved this polisher. No worries. buff Pad is a nice size, not oversized, can get into most cornors. Nice grip options. Nice speed options. Took me about 3 hours to polish a 21 foot boat, in and out, bow to stern and I took my time. shines like new . Came with nice storage bag.

A: Yes, you can sand as well as polish with this product. Here is a link to the instructions on how to change the pad. https://doc.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/pdfs/Shurhold/shurhold_worlds_best_dual_action_polisher_3100_user_guide.pdf

Q: null I have a Paceship 23K that I have been doing a lot of work on the past few years including recoring a bit of the deck. A couple years ago I worked on the port hull gelcoat by hand mostly and got it looking pretty good. Now I would like to redo that side and get the starboard side cleaned up. I intend to purchase a Shurhold polisher from you but am unsure what other accessories to get at the same time. Any suggestions you have on pads, or pad attachments would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce

A: We purchased additional Shurhold microfiber 3135 (looks like a red Muppet heads) as well as the foam backing piece. These wear out. They also do a great job. Before waxing each season we have new on hand.
