They work!

Not a complicated piece of gear, so what is there to say. The brass pad-eyes worked well and are nicely made for a reasonable price. I used them to make a hold-open for a trap door that leads to my cellar.

Not as dark as bronze screws

I bought a couple of these to use on my boat for a traditional feel. They are nicely made and finished. My only issue is they are closer to traditional brass in color than the bronze screws I bought to go with them. That said, these are the only bronze eyes I've seen. I'm yet to mount or use them as I'm still shaping my spars.

Nice pad eyes for interior.

I wanted a dressy look for the sailboat salon, so needed a nice looking brass/bronze pad eye to use for anchoring retention lines on bookshelves.

Q: what do A,B, & C measure in the Spec. section?
6 years ago1 Answer
A: A refers to the depth under the arch. B refers to the width under the arch. C refers to the width measured from center of one screw hole to the other screw hole. There is a second picture on the page with this item that diagrams A, B and C.

Q: How many in an order, one or two? Thought I saw the answer but can't find it now Randy

A: Just one pad eye in an order. Just be sure you drill pilot holes for the brass or bronze screws, they don't like to go into hard wood (mahogany in my case).

Q: HI, I am looking for 8 bronze eye pads and the dimensions are A = 1 3/8, B = 5/16"", C = 5/8"". Do you have any or know of where I could buy some? I see you have some with C = 5/16"" but would like to match mine if possible, as I already have 8 on the boat and I need a total of 16. I can send a photo of mine if interested. Thank-you!!
