Product Details

#8 Stainless steel flat head phillips wood screws made of 316 stainless steel. Wood screws have coarse and deep threads to better anchor into wood. Flat head screws are used for general fastening when the screw head will be flush with the surface or when it will be countersunk and the hole will be plugged. Phillips drive allows for greater torque application when fastening. Stainless steel provides strong corrosion resistance.

These marine grade screws provide excellent corrosion resistance and are the work horse for modern boatbuilding or exterior woodworking applications.

When it comes to resisting corrosion in the harsh salt water environment, passivated 316 stainless steel is the undisputed champ. Its high Nickel content together with a small percentage of Molybdenum make it exceptionally resistant to salts. 316 stainless steel fasteners are really the very best choice for all construction exposed to salt spray. Self Tapping screws are designed for use in sheet metal but are great for mounting hardware onto laminates wood or many other applications. All of our Self Tappers have an A point.

Good product, GREAT SERVICE

I placed an order for some #8 S/S flat head Phillps screws, 100 at 1"", and 100 at 1 1/4"". Somehow a mistake was made packing the order, and I got the full quantity of 1 1/4 screws, but only a small box of 25 of the 1"". I called to point that out, and the very next day the remainder of the order arrived. Any company can make a mistake, but fixing it so promptly puts Jamestown Distributors in the great company class. Thank you.

their holding the sides to the stem & transom, along with epoxy, on my Glouster Light Dory...the only one that failed was the one that ran into its brother at the narrow end of the transom...used both power hand drill & ole timey brace to install/remove with excellent results.
