Windex 10 is a wind indicator with a 10 inch vane, designed to show wind direction on smaller sailboats and dinghies. Knowing wind direction allows sailors to make sail adjustments underway. Windex assembly includes 10 inch vane on a sapphire suspension bearing, held by a rod and glass re-inforced polycarbonate J-base. J-base is capable of mounting on side, front or top of the mast.
Adjustable tacking arms with tabs are a useful reference to pointing ability to windward. Both the tabs and vane incorporate reflectors for optimum visibility day and night.
Spare replacement vane for the Windex 10 is also available.

We have used them for years, they work very well. Tell you which way the wind is blowing at the top of the mast.

Very sensative, accurate and reliable. Easy to visualize wind direction. It is, however, rather expensive for a flimsy plastic wind vane.

Shipped to my house quickly. I didn't like the mounting screws that came with the package. I bought some ss machine screws to better mount the bracket to my mast. Took about 10 mins to drill holes and mount. The indicator spins freely and is very sensitive in even the slightest wind. This item is extremely helpful and I am much better at sailing now that I can fully visualize my points of sail.
