Product Details

Evercoat Kitty Hair body filler is known for bridging capabilities in rebuilding shattered fiberglass and reinforcing torn or rusted areas of sheet metal. Formulated with long strands of chopped fiberglass which doubles the strength of standard fillers, Evercoat Kitty Hair is waterproof and rustproof, and may be applied without a fiberglass mat or cloth. Easy to mix and work with.

Kitty Hair filler is great for applications that demand extra reinforcement without additional layers or cloth and epoxy resin. It has superb adhesion to fiberglass, wood, and metal.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: null Does this come with it's own bonding agent premixed in the can? Or do you need to mix it by hand with epoxy and hardener?

1 Answer

A: The product requires that ONLY a hardener be added in specific amounts, as in the number of drops per the amount of product being used. I will add that this product works well where structural integrity is necessary and laying glass cloth isn't practical. Fill in a void with Kitty Hair and you'll have a solid structure.

Q: null Can this be used to fill a void in a keel if the filler is covered with a layer of epoxy/fiberglass mat followed by gel coat?

A: Yes you could but depending on the size of the hole I don`t think it is the best stuff for the job due to hardenning time, consistency and placing property. I rather use a marine époxy.
