Product Details
TotalBoat Glass Microballoons make for a great low-cost, low-density filler. They are white, hollow, and made of sodium borosilicate. To prevent sagging, Silica Thickener may also be combined with the microballoons.
To prepare for use, start by thoroughly mixing your resin/hardener. Then add in TotalBoat Glass Microballoons and your bulking agent. Blend well. TotalBoat Silica Thickener may then be added if applicable. ALWAYS remember to stir from the bottom to the top.

Use this in both my laminating and final gelcoat applications. Have seen a significant difference in ease of sanding.

Worked well with a rudder repair. Time will tell if it added durability to the repair.

This product worked fine to thicken epoxy resin. I will not recommend buying from this distributor until I receive my entire order.

I used the product and it worked

I used the product to thicken the epoxy I was putting on so that I could slope it. It got thicker but I did not use enough and it still ran. Apparently, you have to use quite a bit to get it to thicken and become more solid than liquid but still pliable. Instructions would have been helpful. It makes it easier to sand but not by much. The epoxy is so hard, I had to use a grinder disk on my oscillator to lower some high spots.

Worked good, a bit hard to mix, adding epoxy on top of the product helps, mix from bottom.
