High quality

I purchased a teak bench for a newly renovated bathroom. It needed protection and I decided that teak oil was the best solution. The higher price for this product was offset by my trust in Jamestown products, I was not disappointed. The bench finish is beautiful and should be easy to maintain. Highly recommend this product.

Dries quick for multiple coats

This worked good. Dries quick. Thin like water so it soaks in well. I refinished a set of mahogany rocking chairs with it. I'd recommend buying more than you think you need. Just keep adding coats until it stops soaking it up. Make sure To wipe off after the 20 minutes that is recommended especially on later coats when the wood is about saturated.

Highly Recommend for Teak Furniture

I used Part A and B cleaner and after sanding, applied this teak oil. I had an old bottle of teak oil that I finished first - one from Home Depot. It was older, so perhaps judging the application isn't necessarily fair, but it wore down the sponge applicator and had required more for the application. This product, the TotalBoat Teak Oil, is thinner and applies very easily with less product. The stain/oil was not as apparent on the first coat as the Home Depot product, however, after two coats of this teak oil, my furniture looks beautiful - like new (minus the gaping cracks that I need to fix next - dry climates aren't kind to wood). Highly recommend and will buy again to keep my furniture in better shape going forward.

Teak Oil Benefits Outdoor Furniture, Too

I previously used TotalBoat Teak Oil to refinish my teak dining room table, which is now 70 years old, but looks brand new. I figured this would work on our patio swing set, which has wood armrests, drink tables, and headrests. I don't think the wood is teak, but nevertheless the Teak Oil renewed the color of the wood very well. I used two coats, with sanding in between with 320-grit paper. Great results!

Exceeded my expectations

First of all, it comes in a steel can. Since I only use this on my tech platform once a year this 32 ounce will last me 10 years if it was plastic it would crack and waste. Secondly the price or value was better than any online supplier including eBay or Amazon. Thirdly, it was a direct purchase off their website which I have never used in the product and the communication and shipping all exceeded my expectations are and when it arrivedWas packaged with care and they included some thing they did not talk about applicators and a trawl to pour the liquid in along with stiring sticks. I have not used this product yet but I have total confidence that the oil is a premium quality give these guys a try oh in the personal touch the person who ships it signs their initials to the shipping manifest.

The only Total Boat product that I would NOT use again

The results are like Cretol. must sand to get off. Stick to Star Brite. If I could make a negative star rating I would!!!

Nice appearance, less work, more sailing

For years I used Schooner Varnish on most wood surfaces. It looked great, but all varnishes are work. I started using Total Boat Wood Finish where I wanted a glossy finish. I was very happy with the ease of application and the resulting appearance, but a lot of wood trim doesn't need to be glossy to look nice. I tried Total Boat Teak Oil on high use areas and areas where gloss wasn't essential. It was very easy to apply and will be easy to maintain over time and it enhanced the wood grain appearance. I like a good looking boat, but prefer to use my boat more than working on it. I will continue to use Total Boat Teak Oil.
