Q: null Will a 1000 GPH cartridge fit in the same casing as a 500 GPH cartridge?

A: The cartridge housing containing the 500|750| and 1000 GPH motors can be interchanged, however flow may be impacted depending on the installed combination of motor and impeller.

Q: null how do you remove the cartridge?
12 years ago1 Answer
A: To remove or replace power cartridge. 1.Lift tab and rotate the two fins in a counter clockwise direction and lift out. 2.To reinstall, first make sure that the seal is properly located. Coat the seal with a light film of vegetable oil or mineral oil, then align the two cams on either side of the power cartridge with the two slots in the outer housing. Press down and twist in a clockwise rotation. To ensure that the power cartridge is properly located, twist tins in a counter clock-wise direction without lifting tab. Cartridge should stay in place.

Q: null Does __quote__cartridge pump__quote__ mean it has a replaceable cartridge filter or just the design concept with nothing replacable? I am looking for a 12v bilge pump to clean the bottom of fish ponds, so needs to be heavy duty and reliable.
12 years ago1 Answer
A: Both, it refers to the __quote__cartridge__quote__ style of the pump, and it's also designed to directly swap out new motors to the existing set-up by twisting the top plastic wing-nut grip to unlock, and then you can easily slid-in a new motor, This is a good pump but the __quote__RUL-02__quote__ features a stainless steel shaft for greater durability, and the __quote__RUL-04__quote__ gold series is a commercial grade with a built-in triple strainer system and stainless steel parts as well, I would choose one of these, thank you.
