Product Details

The TotalBoat Trailer-Mounted Boat Lift is a safe, stress-free way to raise a boat weighing up to 7,500 pounds up to 12" above the bunks or rollers, by yourself. Do routine maintenance with your boat still securely attached to the trailer.

This simple but ingenious system uses four lifts attached to your trailer and positioned under the four strongest areas of the boat: hull chines, stringers, and transom. While raising the boat, it's easy to keep the load balanced by turning the adjustable rod on each lift one half turn at a time. As your boat lifts up off of the trailer, it remains stable and secure because the lifts are attached firmly to the trailer itself.

Sturdy, adjustable lifts are available in two sizes and are extremely easy to configure to accommodate a wide range of boat shapes and sizes. No more hoists or dangerous improvised solutions! See the Tech Specs tab and the Info & Guides tab for dimensions and fit information that will help you select the right lift for your boat and trailer.

Note: Not for use with I-Beam trailers.

Info & Guides
Important Fit Requirements

The Trailer-Mounted Boat Lift System requires minimum clearance heights where each lift is mounted:

Make sure there is a minimum of 12" clearance from the ground to the bottom of your trailer frame. Additionally, the distance from the top of the trailer frame to the chines must be no less than 10".

Boats with very low trailers and or low rise from the trailer to the boat may lack sufficient clearance.

This innovative lift is available in two sizes: The Trailer Boat Lift System (TB-BLT4) is designed for use on trailer beams 2" to 3" wide and 4.5" to 5.75" tall.

Please inquire if you have any questions.

Note: Not for use with I-Beam trailers.

Money well spent!

Great product! Cleaned, sanded and bottom painted with plenty of room to work! Saved lift costs at marina means it's already paying for itself. Plus, the work was done in my driveway. 20 minutes closer than marina!! Since this lift kit works very well with my trailer and boat, I will sell it with them both when that day comes! Really justified the cost and will be a good bonus selling point!

Did the job

The height of shortest arm was still too tall for my trailer. Needed to cut about 2 inches of the tube so I can slide the stand between trailer and boat. I knew the plates are too small for my trailers beam so ordered 1/4"" 6×6 plates from Amazon. Made 4 holes at corner. After these adjustments it could do the job. Lifted the boat so I could fix the gelcoat damage from bad bunks. Boat is about 7000 lbs.

Will not work with a Precision 21 sailboat

I had high hopes that this device would work with my 2007 Precision 21 sailboat on the Magic Tilt trailer. Installation was not hard even though the shipment was short four washers. I also added a 2 x 4 block as the trailer's frame was not quite wide enough. But, as the supports rose, the port side stern support began deflecting the hull. Look closely at the attached photo. I lowered the system down and tried again in a different spot of the stern on the port side. Again, same problem. Returned the system to Jamestown. They have refunded my money, but I'm out $100 for the return shipping.

Product wouldn't work on my trailer. Buyer beware!

Plate sizes were not wide enough to fit on my trailer I beams. I have a coyote trailer. They should have made it more clearer on the specifications that this may not fit on certain trailers with a beam width greater than 5 inchs. Also they were no help when I called there customer service. Wouldn't take a return on the item. Didn't offer wider plates. And rep immediately pointed out if I made my own plates it would void warranty. So I did it anyway. Cut some 1/4inch x 6 inch steel plates, drilled out 1/2 inch holes and bolted the lifting jacks on and they work perfectly fine now but what a hassle. Lifts my 5000 lb boat off my trailer so I could get my bottom painting done.

Make sure it will fit your trailer/boat

I purchased without realizing that there must be at least eight inches of clearance between the boat hull and the trailer to mount the unit. I have a 17' whaler. I was able to mount the units under the bow chine, which is quite high on the boat. In the aft area I only had four inches of clearance. I stacked blocks of wood under the transom and used a bottle jack to raise the stern enough to mount the lifts. Once I did that they worked as advertised and I was able to sand and paint on my back with a creeper. Although I had to figure this out and do some extra work I am still happy with this product. The alternative ways of getting a small boat up off the bunks to paint are more complicated, require more work and are probably more dangerous.

Manufacturer DOES NOT recommend using with an I-Beam trailer

After looking at the system, I did purchase one for my Robalo R200. Unfortunately, after trying to configure it for my trailer, I contacted Brownell Boat Stands, Inc., the manufacturer for some assistance. That is when I was informed the boat lift is NOT recommended for I-Beam trailers. They found the I-Beam trailers are not strong enough to support the system. Now I have a system that I cannot use since that warning did not appear anywhere on the website. I did purchase it in December of 2022 and unboxed it this past weekend (April 2023) to prepare for bottom painting. It has been over 30-days and Jamestown will not allow me to return it. Buyer beware...open the box quickly and don't purchase if you have an I-Beam trailer.

Defective paint coat

The set I got was all beat up with paint chipping off all the pieces. No protective packaging. At this price I expect at least a decent powder coat.

I would buy again but I would modify before using...

I just installed these jacks to my trailer & boat today, after they been delivered almost a month ago sitting in the boxes until today. When I made them taunt to the boat I soon noticed that the orange paint used on the top of the wood was coming off onto my boat. It seems like the orange paint was still somewhat wet. Why even paint the wood blocks at all? SMH... I recommend if you buy these to replace the top pieces of wood.

Q: null Will this work with Ultimate 20? The lift point would be under the gunnel at hull deck joint. Is the extended position long enough to reach the gunnels? I see that the minimum is 9.75"" cranked down in the extended position. What would be max extension?
