The TotalBoat Trailer-Mounted Boat Lift is a safe, stress-free way to raise a boat weighing up to 7,500 pounds up to 12" above the bunks or rollers, by yourself. Do routine maintenance with your boat still securely attached to the trailer.

This simple but ingenious system uses four lifts attached to your trailer and positioned under the four strongest areas of the boat: hull chines, stringers, and transom. While raising the boat, it's easy to keep the load balanced by turning the adjustable rod on each lift one half turn at a time. As your boat lifts up off of the trailer, it remains stable and secure because the lifts are attached firmly to the trailer itself.

Sturdy, adjustable lifts are available in two sizes and are extremely easy to configure to accommodate a wide range of boat shapes and sizes. No more hoists or dangerous improvised solutions! See the Tech Specs tab and the Info & Guides tab for dimensions and fit information that will help you select the right lift for your boat and trailer.

Note: Not for use with I-Beam trailers.

Info & Guides
Important Fit Requirements

The Trailer-Mounted Boat Lift System requires minimum clearance heights where each lift is mounted:

Make sure there is a minimum of 12" clearance from the ground to the bottom of your trailer frame. Additionally, the distance from the top of the trailer frame to the chines must be no less than 10".

Boats with very low trailers and or low rise from the trailer to the boat may lack sufficient clearance.

This innovative lift is available in two sizes: The Trailer Boat Lift System (TB-BLT4) is designed for use on trailer beams 2" to 3" wide and 4.5" to 5.75" tall.

Please inquire if you have any questions.

Note: Not for use with I-Beam trailers.

It is made very well heavy duty. Some of the orange paint got on the threads which made it a little tuff to turn at the start but no big deal.

Worked as advertised. Would be great if kit included spacers for smaller trailer rails. I ended up using some pieces of lumber which worked fine. Great product!

I left a review last year (Mysticmako) when I first purchased this system. It worked great for the bottom paint job on my 20' Center Console. Just recently, I was lifting the boat up for a recoat of the bottom paint and as I reaching the max lift height, one of the wood pads suddenly slid halfway out from under the front side of the hull. I ran to get a floor jack to see if I could somehow support the boat. Sadly, as I was in the garage getting my floor jack I heard a crash and looked out to see one side of the boat tilting down on the trailer. Apparently, the jack that had initially slipped halfway out came all the way out and then as the front of the boat starting leaning the back jack on the same side slipped out as well. Both of the wood pads and their metal brackets had scraped along the side of the boat when it fell doing major damage to the pristine gelcoat and fiberglass. The two jacks on the other side of the boat held but got jammed such that they could not be retracted. Had to call a tow truck to lift the front of the boat so I could remove the jacks and reposition the boat on the trailer. Thankfully I wasn't under the boat cleaning or painting. I will never be able to trust this system again so I'll sell it locally since it's so heavy. I followed all instructions, making many trips around the boat turning each jack 1/2 turn each time.

I didn't read the specs carefully that states ""the lift is designed for use on trailer beams 2"" to 3"" wide and 4.5"" to 5.75"" tall."" Most small trailer frames are 3x4 as was mine. The supplied 9"" bolts were too long so I ended up getting new bolts that were 8"". Then the manufacturing process was sloppy, the holes in the plates were a little less than 3"" apart and would not fit around my 3"" frame. I called and they quickly sent me new plates that were drilled properly. Once these issues were addressed they worked well, my GW 180 is about a foot off the bunks for painting and bunk replacement. And everyone else is correct about the paint on the lifts, it was flaking off from shipping.

Great product

Bought this for use on my 21' Regulator. Worked well for bottom painting and would definitely recommend it. Pros: - Got the boat up in air - Worked in tight space (boat doesn't have much overhang outside of trailer) where traditional stands would not fit in - Easy to use / install (though an impact wrench helps with the install on the hex nuts) Couple of quick ""product"" comments: - Would be nice if it were available galvanized - The trailer attachments were wrong size for my trailer, so I had to add a 2x4 as buffer to get the whole setup in place - It's definitely a workout to get the boat lifted up in the air with this Other: - Make sure that you can slide under your trailer! You still need to be able to reach all those tough spots - this will create some clearance but your boat is not going to be way, way up in the air...it's still relatively close to the ground and you're going to be working on your back to get the job done Definitely would recommend. Nice, innovative system that could probably use some improvements on the plating system (how it attaches to the trailer).

Working great for my bottom paint job

The trailer lift system is allowing me to prep, prime and paint the entire bottom of my 20' center console boat. Based on another reviewer with a similar EZ Loader trailer I decided to buy the lift system. As the other reviewer mentioned I bought a box of 50 washers so I could add 4 washers to each bolt so the nut didn't reach the end of the by thread. The beams on my trailer are about 2.5"" high so it almost worked without the washers. Fortunately the width of the trailer beams (3.5"") allowed for a good (but tight) fit so I didn't have to modify or replace the included brackets as some have mentioned. Also, the space between the top of the trailer and the boat transom is about 8"" so that made for a very tight fit for the aft jacks. After maxing out the jacks at the bow I ended up with about 8"" of space between the bottom of the hull and bunks which is enough room to use my orbital sander on all areas of the hull. Working around the trailer structure isn't always easy but I was able to reach everything one way or another.

Could use improvement

This would be an awesome product if the plates were an inch longer to fit many of the trailers that have 3 1/2"" beams. The cost to modify the plates for a work around starts to make it not worth it. Seems to me it would be only a slight change in the manufacturing that would have minimal additional cost and make it appeal to many more buyers.

Does what it decribes. Paint is a little thin, but that's no what you buy them for. They lift he boat safely and allow you to work under it while still on the trailer. Trailer will still be under the boat and you'll have to work around it, but everything is accessible.

Great Idea but hampered by faulty design work & shoddy MFG.

Ok first it is a great design and will worgreat once you fix the manufacturing design problems. First Brownell didn't design the mounting plates to mount on any trailer with rails ladger than 2 1/2 inches. This excludes most heavy duty aluminum trailers manufactured today such as Magic Tilt which rails are 3 1/2 inch aluminum I beam. So to get these to mount they have to modified. This is really irritating since the problem could be avoided by making the plates 1 1/2 inches longer and adding an extra hole for the larger trailers. I have included some pictures of the problem and the modifications that had to ne made. also the paint sub standard and they plates had already started to rust.

Trailer Boat Lift

Ok future buyers be warned that is your trailer rails are wider than 2 1/2 inches the mounting plates supplied with this will not work and you will have to make some new plates or come up with another way to mount these U bolts, etc. That is a real bummer that you are going to have to spend additional money on top of already spending $700 for these when it would be so easy for the manufacturer could make the plates an inch larger to accommodate wider trailer rails. Then there is the finish and the paint was so thin that the steel had already started to rust. The design is great but the manufacturing is sloppy and it is obvious that Brownell doesn't care about quality control or adjusting to the needs of their customers since I am not the first to complain about the mounting problem.

As others have said you have to have a very narrow trailer beam for them to fit. Mine is like a small I Beam, I think most trailers these days are. They would not fit without a lot of effort and some engineering. Once they are on they work well and are solid.

How did I live without it!!!!

This is the best tool I have bought in a long time. This is a must have item for both the professional and Diy'er as well. The ONLY negative is the threads are not long enough to accommodate all trailers and a 2x4 block was used between the lower plate and trailer to take up the space. Just supply different bolts and it would be perfect.

Great product but read the measurements and fine print!

I am restoring a 25' Cuddy ~ 5500lbs. I read from another review they did not read the fine print and all of the measurements required. The plates used to secure the jacks to the trailer were too short, the solution they used was 1/4 flat bar, remade the plates and corrected the shortage. Since my boat is so large, fiberglass hardtop with aluminum framed windows and I am in a confined space I did not want to risk dropping from the trailer on to blocks. I re-made the plates 2"" larger in depth, fits snug, used bolts that came with kit and they work as advertised. The product does clearly say what is needed. Here is the kicker, I did measure and was not going to buy these as I have the same issue, however since they succeeded, shared their story, I can confirm this can be done on the larger I beam trailers! Just wish you guys could include a 2nd set of plates to accommodate this issue.

Boat Lift - check likely fit with trailer prior to purchase

The item is to lift your boat directly from your trailer. The problem is with an aluminum trailer and if the I-beams are wider (taller) than bolts provided. My aluminum trailer beams would twist as I raised forcing be to put a stand under the clamp on lifts. The items worked well and were well built but not a match for all trailer situation. Rated for 10,000 lbs - OK but your trailer for a 6000 boat like mine has wider trailer beams. I compensated by co-using auto stands under the lifts to keep the lifts from twisting the frame. I had to acquire 10-inch bolts (comes with 9-inch) to bridge the web of my beams. This did allowed me to fully clean, seal and paint. I would not recommend for a sail boat. At the V of my hull (bow) the lifts were at maximum angle (tilt of the head). I cannot imaging for a sailboat with a more angled hull. I have a 27-ft SeaRay. . Also check amount of trailer beam on the stern of the trailer to the boat to ensure ease of placement at the proper location. Fit my trailer , would not work for my neighbors. I recommend but check these issues out prior to purchase

Trophy 1802FJ boat has been on the lift system going on 2+ weeks now and it's holding like a champ. No worries at all. I was able to work with the mounting design for a near perfect install on my trailer. You have many different options to mount the lifts. I was by myself and 60 minutes from unboxing to boat lifted off off the bunks.
