Product Details

Sta-Bil Fogging Oil prevents corrosion when storing inboard and outboard engines for an extended period of time, making this product excellent for winter storage. It is specially formulated to protect internal surfaces for over one year and will not foul spark plugs or fuel injectors when spring arrives.

Sta-Bil's unique spray formula winterizing oil coats internal engine components with an industrial polymer coating that prevents heavy corrosion, and ensures that engines start quickly and easily after being stored.

Q: null where do I put fogging oil in 120hp force engine ?

A: Fogging oil which I actually just did on my 1989 Evinrude V6 225hp (including a full DeCarb to clean out the engine which I highly recommend doing as well) is very simple. You take the air Box/Silencer off (so you need to expose the throttle bodies). If you would like to DeCarb the engine as well, this is the best time because the throttle bodies are already exposed and the twelve bolts holding on the Air Silencer are already removed. After hooking up your ear muffs with the garden hose attached (to the Ventilation Vent just below the Anti-Cavitation Plate), run your engine at normal idle for at least 15 minutes with the water running. Use item __quote__VAL-MMTS13__quote__ and spray the entire bottle into each throttle body at slightly fast idle, now your engine will be completely cleaned out of gum, varnish, and carbon deposits which all cause ring sticking and severe engine damage, wait 15 minutes for it to soak, then restart and run for 10-15 minutes at regular idle. Then, you spray the fogging oil into each cylinder for 10 seconds each, then shut off the engine quickly. Then you remove each spark plug and do a 3 second burst into each one, then put the spark plugs back in using a Di-electric Grease on the ceramic part of the plug and (very important to prevent the plug from freezing into the engine block) you will need to use some anti-seize compound on the threads of the plugs, reinstall the plugs, and you are done. Also, make sure you also run at least 4 gallons of winterizing fluid through your engine just before fogging it, and you want to use the BanFrost 2000 (at least 2 gallons required to 2 gallons of water, I would get 3 and fill the 5 gallon Winterizing Jug all the way up with a 1:1 ratio) part # __quote__CAC-30627__quote__, IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL OR EMAIL ME, AND WE SELL EVERY PART LISTED (including the anti-seize, DI-electric, etc., everything) THANK YOU.
