Q: null Does the AFI 33094 come with the base plate that captures the ""trailing arm""? If not can it be purchased separately? Installation instructions would be appreciated. Robert Cooper

A: Sorry, JD does notcary the base plate as a separate part. You can contact the manufacturer for tech advice at this link: https://www.marinco.com/en/products/Wiper-Systems/Wiper-Arms/Premier

Q: null What is the shaft diameter size for the driven arm. What is the shaft diameter of the ""following"" arm?

A: The driver shaft size is a standard 58"". The manufacturer does not provide the shaft size for the follower but from my recollection, it is slightly smaller. There is a spring clip that holds it in place so the follower arm has some adjustability to it. I believe all of the AFI models use the same size but you may want to reach out directly to AFI.

Q: null I had previously sent a question via this forum and have still not received a response. It appears that I need to order the stationary post or bolt that holds the end of the pantographic side arm in place. It does not work to try to connect it to the rotating post on the wiper arm. These mounts don't appear anywhere in your catalog. If I am not doing something correctly during installation, please tell me. Otherwise, please let me know how to get the part and the spacing I need for correct installation. Also, please update your catalog to include the post and instructions. This is a replacement arm for our older boat. I had to cut out the previous wiper, pantographic mount & motor due to corrosion. Please get back to me this time. I need 2 more but don't want to order them until I know this one will work.

A: Hi Jim,   From my perspective, your question is confusing. My experience is that the AFI motor has a post that is splined on the end. The post goes through your windshield frame and the wiper arm attaches to the protruding splined post. The wiper arm is secured by a small set screw that you can see if you lift the wiper blade after you install the arm on the spline. They are expensive but they are pretty nice units. I have them on an old Huckins. I hope that helps.   David Perry Cherokee

Q: null I just purchased an AFI-33094 Pantographic arm with an AFI-34000 80 degree motor. No installation instructions or parts came with the arm. Does the 2nd arm have to be connected to a fixed post separate from the arm? If so, what should the distance be? If not, how do I secure it on the motor post? This is being used on a boat & is replacing an older motor and pantographic arm.
