Jabsco macerator pumps empty marine holding tanks or fish box and livewell receptacles. Use only when in a permissible location. Macerator cuts up and passes waste, toilet tissue, facial tissue, cigarettes, cigars, chunks of soft fruit and/or vegetables less than 1 inch in size, fish scales, and bait residue.
Self priming to 4 feet sealed 12v macerator pump will empty a typical 30 gallon (115 Liter) holding tank in less than 3 minutes.

A: Good pump. Sometimes gets hot and have to shut it off for a short time, but no problems other than that.

A: Ricky I don't know if this is what you want. I screw mine into a pipe fitting in a holding tank. I would think that if yours looks like the photo and has a 1 1/2 inch male pipe thread it should work. Jamestown will take it back if you don't mess it up and use it. Roger

Q: null Does this pump rotate so that the out flow hose can be fitted to the other side? The one we presently have installed and needs replacement is on the __quote__other__quote__ side

A: You probably can rotate the pump, but the bolts that hold the pump in place also go thru the motor and hold the back plate on the motor. There are also several thin gaskets that can break when you remove the pump I have based my answer on the disassembly of my old pump. there are gaskets between pump and suction manifold and they broke when I took the assembly apart. I was attempting to replace the brushes to get the motor to run again. You may be able to get a pump with the outflow on the proper side or move the pump around to fit your situation. If this is for a motor home or camper, There is a macerator pump that will fit on your drain or on the 3 inch drain hose. The only complaint I have with the pump is that it shuts down after about 3 minutes for a cool down period of around 5 minutes. My black water tank usually takes 3 cycles to drain.

A: This pump has a design flaw. The studs that hold it together break off from corrosion within a year. I have had 3 of them. All three had the same problem. The bolts are not stainless.

Q: null I have a Jabsco 18590-2092 macerator pump. This pump, as you know, has a 1.5__quote__ inlet housing, I would like to install it in my RV which has a 3__quote__ black water line. Do you see an problem with putting in a 3__quote__ T fitting with a 1.5__quote__ female fitting on the side? Thanks, Mike

A: Although it will pump drinking water, it is a macerating pump which grinds up poo and toilet paper, actually anything soft, into 1/8__quote__ particles. So it's way overkill for pumping pure water.
