A: This is one cable, showing the control box end and the engine end. Both throttle and shift cables are identical.

Q: null Is there an adaptor for a Teleflex series 400 control cable (pre-1979 Johnson/Evinrude/OMC) that will operate a Mercury outboard (2003 40hp). The cable needs a bare end to match my old Bo'sun controller but I need to be able to pair this with a Mercury outboard fitting at the other end.

A: No for Evinrude 1979 - present use the Tel CC205xx cables xx being the length.

A: They are sold individually and FIT PRE 1979 OMC/Johnson engines.

A: They work great. I have them installed on a 13 ft. Whaler that gets used several days a week and they have performed flawlessly.

Q: null Hi, I have an older Evinrude Power Pilot control box and a 1979 Evinrude 140hp engine. Will these cables work with that configuration? Thanks, Blaine

A: For a 1979 and newer you would need the CCX20506 series.

Q: null Do you measure these cables from the end of the fittings or the length of the cable its self?

A: Measure from control along unobstructed cable routing to center of outboard. Add four feet to allow for loop which provides unrestricted engine move ment. Round up to next whole foot and order required cable part number. (Last two digits of cable part number equal cable length in feet.)
