Product Details

Teleflex Osprey low profile, dual action side mount controls suitable for most single engine, single station boats.

Osprey controls are available with several different options such as with a black or chrome face plate, power trim/tilt control and an emergency cutoff switch (aka ignition stop switch).

Each control features a balanced handle design that provides exceptional smoothness when shifting or throttling up. All controls include start in gear protection and a neutral interlock button that allows you to advance the throttle while in neutral for faster engine warm ups.

Designed for use with both Universal (3300 series) and OEM Shift and Throttle Cables

Q: Will this replace a mercruiser/quicksilver 3000 classic?

A: Sorry, I don't have that information. You can contact Seastar directly at 610-495-7011. It's likely you will need type 330 cables and an adapter kit for the engine end.

A: The one I bought broke after one season of use. Next time I will look for one with metal control points. The plastic housing cracked and it no longer would go into reverse and catch the throttle advance. You get what you pay! Mark Jones

Q: I HAVE AN OLD UNIFLIGHT BOAT WITH A SINGLE LEVEL CONROL BOTH FRO SHIFTING AND SPEED. IT IS A SIDE MOUNT. NEED A NEW CONTROL FOR SINGLE ENGINE. WILL THW TELEFLEX WORK? THANKS, KARL GOTTFRIED

A: Not sure. I purchased and installed the teleflex as a repalcment __quote__in kind__quote__ to a quiksilver control. I expect that if the cables are compatible, you should be able to make it work, but that is just an assumption/suspicion. Good Luck

Q: Guys, I bought this controller and love the ergonomics. I hooked up all of the cables and tilt / trim connections. The only problem that I have is that in order to trim the outdrive up, I have to use the side up button simultaneously with the handle up button. This should be the tilt only. My trim up is not working. Did anyone else have an issue with this?

A: If the unit has been opened, and subsequently returned, it sounds like someone has __quote__monkeyed__quote__ with it. The unit I have works great, and I know others that are equally happy with the controller. If you are sure about the wiring you performed, open up the unit and see what was __quote__touched__quote__. Or, see about returning it for a new unmolested controller. Good luck

Q: Does the CH1751P thumb button operate the trim/Tilt for a Yamaha?

1 Answer

A: this switch has the standard 3 wire hookup. As far as i know yamaha and any other trim unit uses a 3 wire setup like this for control of the trim.

Q: I have a 88 Glastron with a 4.3L XL. Will this hook up to my existing cables or will new cables be required?

A: I read all the documents on the unit and they it will hook up to everything. I am not familiar with a 4.3 XL but the it unit is a universal hook up. I was very impressed with the unit when it arrived. The whole unit construction is so much more than anything that comes stock on most boats. I plan on installing mine this weekend.

Q: Do you have the Teleflex Osprey CH1750P? That is the one that has the up and down tilt/trim thumb button but does not have the separate on/off switch for tilt/trim. I broke mine so I want to do identical replacement. If yes, what is the cost and delivery? thanks Pete 612-599-1376
