Many boatbuilders, especially ones with traditional, old-school tendencies, prefer a Brass machine screw. Brass offers great corrosion resistance and along with the slot drive provides the classic look of traditional boatbuilding. Remember Brass is soft and requires a carefully sized pilot hole. Our Flat head machine screws have a standard 82 degree countersink design.
