Installed the pump in a whitewater canoe

Installed this pump in a whitewater canoe to remove water almost as quickly as the rapids throw it in. Works well. Seems durable. Keeps me paddling the canoe in dicey situations where otherwise I would have to be bailing. Nice and lightweight!

Pumps

Bought 800&1200gph pumps as replacement pumps in case ones in boat ever go bad. Cannot comment on ease of installation since these are only the cartridge and not the whole pump assembly. I do know these pumps work good in my boat now.

Q: is the T500 bildge pump saltwater compatible?

A: I don't run in salt water, I've had the pumps apart and it's only plastic so there is nothing for the salt to eat on.

Q: How do you install aerator pump?

1 Answer

A: 1 Attach the mounting brackets to the side of the aerator with a screwdriver and then mount the aerator to the side of the livewell. 2 Attach the air hose to the nozzle on the side of the aerator pump. 3 Attach the clamp to the other end of the hose and then lower it into the livewell. Use the clamp to attach it to the bottom lip of the tank. 4 For use with a marine battery attach O-rings to the ends of both wires, loosen the negative and positive battery cables on the boat with an adjustable wrench and connect the O-rings to the respective battery terminals. Replace the positive and negative battery cables after the O-rings have been attached. 5 Turn the aerator pump on to test it.
