SA Mahogany Wood Bungs / Plugs

I actually am ordering more today as I did not order enough last time. I used a 3/8"" Fuller combination drill and countersink to drill all the hullsides and decking for a mahogany runabout restoration. There were at least 800- 1000 bungs that needed to be installed. I had no issues with the bungs being oversized and was able to use every one in the box. Some of them were long enough that after I knocked off the excess with the chisel there was enough left to use in another hole.

The plugs were a little inconsistent in their diameter and I could only use about 50% of the plugs in the box. The remainder were a little large and I would have to sand them to get them to fit the countersink hole.

In my first order i recieved the two hundred pieces i ordered. Unfortunately I realized I had not ordered enough and reordered and paid for one hundred more. The bag i recieved was marked 80 and contained eighty. I should have ran some test holes before reordering as i found the plugs to be loose fitting. I ended up buying a plug boring tool and making my own for any critical areas. I am not complaining. I am simply stating the facts as I know them. The plugs were inexpensive and I got what I paid for.
