Q: Are these breakers rated for 120VDC?

A: I'm inclined to say no. The maximum voltage allowed on 20amp 220 volt Blue Sea circuit breaker is 277 VAC and 65 VDC. My guess is that the DC Voltage on a 120VAC circuit breaker is a whole lot less. My guess is that it has something to do with the magnetic trip part of the circuit breaker.

Q: Need to replace a Airpax UPG6-27822-11 15 amp breaker in my Hunter, is this a match?

A: I have a Hunter 41 and just noticed your question while responding to someone else who emailed me. These breakers are pretty much standard and the Blue Seas should be a replacement for the Airpax (which used to be manufactured in Cambridge, MD). A minor difference that I noticed is the Airpax have tabs on the back that are slightly bent at a bit of an angle where the Blue Sea breakers have straight tabs.

A: A screwdriver and access the rear of the panel is all that is required. The front of the breaker has two threaded holes. A phillips head screw is inserted through the front of the panel to secure the breaker in place.

Q: I'm replacing a breaker from a 1978 egg harbor. Airpax, white toggle, push-on connecters. It has a yellow stripe on the back. Is this a rating code? Can not read printed label. Other breakers in panel have assorted colored stripes. This for bilge blower. 3/4__quote__ high, 2__quote__ wide, about 13/4__quote__deep. Looks very much like picture. Jack

A: Paste this link airpax.sensata The yellow stripe or other color stripe will give the last two digits for ordering correct breaker. Not sure blue seas makes a stab in breaker or not. Hope this helps

Q: This breaker would fit my panel, EXCEPT that my panel has breakers about 1/4 inch narrower, that is about 1 3/4 inches wide instead of 2.0 inches wide which is what I think the breaker pictured here is. Does anyone have a suggestion about where I can find the narrower breakers?? Thanks, Bob

A: Bob, Does you panel use the screw terminal connections? Overall dimensions of a AA1 breaker are, 2__quote__ high x 3/4__quote__ wide by 2__quote__ deep for toggle breakers, for rocker breakers the depth is 2.40__quote__. Do you have any already installed in your panel. They might have a number on them. Hope this answers your question.

A: I used them on different segments of the panel.. so color coding lights or main switches are quick and easy to identify
