Works fine if it doesn't get wet

Used two in my sloop. Both worked for about 1 season, and then both failed. Continuously delivered power to the pumps, and would not shut off -- even if manually held in off position. I cut one of the ""waterproof"" switch units open, and found it was full of water. You'll do better with a mercury switch thoroughly packed with urethane for waterproofing.

A: I have this one in my boat. It sticks in position like any other float but not as often. It has to be maintained. No set and forget it with this.
