Overpriced

Rather expensive for an item that broke after one week of limited use requiring me to then purchase an expensive repair kit. Cheap, delicate parts that wear out easily.

Q: null can this be adjusted to anything other than 5:1, say a 3:1 or 2:1 pump by adjusting where the pumps connect to the handle and/or moving the pump on the adjustable slot on the frame?

A: The short answer is no. The volume is determined by the cylinder size which is fixed at 5:1

Q: null I have a 306 pump. The pump arm is frozen tight - I cannot get it to move, so it doesn't dispense epoxy anymore. The problem seems to be that the two pistons/cylinders are so tight I can't separate them. Either the pistons have swollen or the cylinders have shrunk. Can I get these parts? This was an expensive item and should never have had this kind of failure. Regards, Walter Briggs

A: I have had the same pump for probably 35 years I have just rebuilt it for the third or fourth time, In the past I have purchase the kit but this time I only purchased the teflon O rings. Pour out the resin and hardener, one tank at a time! With a deep socket and long extension unscrew the valves at the bottom of the tanks and remove and clean the tanks with acetone. Remove the pump body from the frame and remove the ball bearings in the passage under the valves. Soak valves and ball bearing in acetone Clean the chain links with acetone. Place the pump body into a vice and pour acetone into the cylinders At this stage you should be able to remove the pump arm with pistons attached.

Q: null are you able to fit a 1quart mixing cup under both dispensors or is a larger size required?
9 years ago6 Answers
A: When you assemble the pumps, you can angle the spouts toward each other a little so that they are only a couple of inches apart. Then you can use a smaller mixing cup if you are only making a few ounces. You can still fit a larger cup under the spouts if you are mixing a large amount.
