Sikaflex 1A is a premium-grade, high-performance, moisture-cured, single component, polyurethane-based, non-sag elastomeric professional grade sealant.

This one part sealant is highly elastic, curing to a durable, flexible consistency with high cut and tear resistance. Its excellent adhesive properties let 1A bond to most construction materials without priming. A strong track record of resisting aging and weathering in demanding climates, resistance to fuel (including jet fuel) permeation, and compatibility with water, oil, and rubber based paints make this odorless, non staining adhesive a popular choice in construction applications.

Sikaflex 1A meets Federal specification TT-S-00230C, Type II, Class A as well as ASTM C-920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, use T, NT, O, M, G, I; Canadian standard CAN/CGSB 19.13-M87.

Info & Guides
Sikaflex 1A is designed for joints where maximum depth of sealant will not exceed 1/2 inch. This makes it ideal for for small joints and fillets, windows, door frames, reglets, flashing, common roofing detail applications, and many construction adhesive applications.

It's suitable for vertical and horizontal joints; readily placeable at 40F. Use as an elastic adhesive between materials with dissimilar coefficients of expansion. It is also suitable for submerged conditions, such as canal and reservoir joints.

Great product when within use by date

Great product. Requested salesman confirm use by date. Was told it just came in and would have months left. When delivered the expiration date was less than 4 weeks off. I'm disappointed this happened.

Great product. I also wish the price had not more than doubled in the last few years as it is an important ingredient in our plywood on frame teaching boats!

Excellent product

Very good urethane caulk sealant. Be sure that it is not past expiration date..Jamestown sent me 6 tubes more than 6 mos past expiration. Fortunately, still worked well. You can keep partially used tubes in refrigerator after taping nozzle closed. Sands well, but be sure to avoid applying if surface temp above 100F. Best to apply under a tent cover and avoid direct sunlight on hot days.

Sika don't keep over flowing when I stand it up

I used Sika self leveing on several expansoin joints and love it. The reason I'm really posting is because of the way I discoved the best way to set it aside if your going to be more then a few seconds. Maybe you already know this and I'm just finding out, but when i need to set the Sika aside for a few minutes or more, (Don't know how long you can do this, at lease 5mins that I know of) I release the preasure, stand it up in a bucket. it doesn't keep coming out oppose to laying it on it's side. It also saves money!

a bargain and appropriate for marine app

I used Sikaflex 1A to fill and seal 1/8"" gaps between mahogany deck planks. A respected local Chris Craft restorer recommended it based on years of successful experience. It works the same way as all single part Urethane caulks, so it's messy and requires careful masking and application. The good news it is apparently the same formula as the marine designated caulks but it costs [$] a cartridge instead of $20. It comes in black, dark mahogany and one or two other colors.

Adheres well on concrete

I used on concrete cracks in my garage and it worked well keeping ground water out. Also used to gap on cement steps to wooden kick plate and worked better than any other previous products I have used.

Good Product

You should be selling a ton of this stuff in very wet Seattle. Every seam and joint seems to be leaking due to unseasonal rain and runoff. My builder had to search to help me find the product. Not sure if anyone local carries it.
