Product Details

The Moeller 22-Gallon White Tank is specifically designed to replace OEM tanks on Boston Whaler Montauk 15' and 17' center console boats. It is white in color instead of traditional red to blend in with whaler colors. It features exclusive molded fill neck with side angle orientation for easy access.

Made from marine grade cross-linked polyethylene for light weight and durability, all tanks are USCG, NMMA and ABYC compliant. The mechanically vented cap floats and is easy to grip with ribbed design.

Tanks include 90° 1/4" NPT Moeller patented "Poplock" aluminum withdrawal elbow that swivels 360° without losing its seal. Injection molded 2 1/4" fill neck with gauge and vent. One-year warranty. Tank must be secured with permanent hold down kit.

Available for boats built before 2011 and for EPA-compliant boats built after 2011.

Info & Guides
Going forward, it's important that you understand the changes Moeller made to their above deck topside tanks over 12 gallons to be used on boats built after 2011. Changes include a new EPA-compliant 2-stage fuel cap that clicks when it closes. The BR (Barrier version) tanks are pressurized to a minimum of 5 lbs. of internal pressure. These tanks comply to the 5% open headspace requirement for both EPA and non-EPA tank models. Each tank has a full fill line molded into it to remove the guesswork.

Simple install

Was very simple and a great improvement to the two six gallon tanks I had before. I had to cut a ""shim"" to keep table level and from wobbling. I also used a snitch strap to hold it in place, I think I'll eventually screw down corner feet to hold it a bit more permanently

Great purchase

The only problem I had , was that the tank sits on the fuel line coming out of the floor. I had to install a brass elbow so the line didn't get pinched.

Best priced Montauk fuel tank solution

By using white NP1 adhesive caulk, one can affix (8) 1""x1""x 1/4"" thick Starboard wafers and then 1/2"" rubber feet to the bottom of the tank that will elevate it up off the deck in such a manner as to allow clearance for the existing fuel hose routing. Also, this keeps it dry under the tank by not trapping moisture there. Hold the tank in place by fabricating (4) 1/2"" Starboard corner brackets in the Seafoam shade screwing down into the deck with SS screws. It does not move!

Fits Perfect

No fuss. No muss. Fits perfect. Easy installation. Drain down the old tank before you make the switch. That way, there's less fuel to transfer. Looks good after installation.

Works Great

Looks much better than the faded and stained red one that was in there previously. Gas gauge is a little pessimistic. But that's OK. When you make the switch, run the gas down n the old one first. Transfer the remaining gas via a hand pump.
