Easy application, nice finish. Do not yet know how durable it will be. We'll see.

This is my go to deck coating for at least 3 of my boats

There are very limited colors, but you can mix to get what you need. It is easy to apply and easy to patch in as needed. It s hard to move it fast enough in high heat and sunshine.

Takes a long time to cure and does not hold up scuffs

After allowing two weeks to cure in normal summer temps - was still soft and was easily scuffed by chair legs. This paint may be okay for walking surfaces but I would not use this on any surface where paint will contact something hard like chair or table legs.

The color charts though!

I ordered the ""Cream""... which rolls on like buttercup yellow! Not Jamestown's fault! I will be repainting with something else in the Fall! Easy application and good non-skid though!

Looks great and feels grippy, hope it lasts a few years. One coat seemed to cover nicely.

Worked great and was easy.

This was really easy to use, and looks pretty good. Not a super aggressive non-skid paint, which is exactly what I wanted. Re-painted the cockpit sole on my C&C 24 with a foam brush and it came out great. If I were doing it again I'd probably use a foam roller but I'm very happy with the results.

Simply the best

I researched many nonskid deck paints before settling on this one. I first thought it was not a nonskid paint once it dried (and it dried very quickly) because I could not see any grit. But the grit is fine like a 1200 grit emory paper. Your shoes grab it like glue with no sliding. It does not tear up the feet of a barefoot sailor either. It goes on easily and covers well in one coat. What more could you ask for in a nonskid deck paint? Two thumbs up from this sailor!!!

There is a better way.

My entire boat is painted with Interlux. The Interdeck Non-Skid went on easily. Stained Easily. Didn't Clean Easily. I chose grey - MISTAKE - very hot deck in the Florida sun. Repainted the deck with Interlux Brightsides Blu-Glow White Paint, Interlux Polymeric non-skid beads & Interlux Flattener. P

HORRIBLE product...use Interlux Brightsides w/poly beads!

For 3 years I made the mistake of using Interlux Interdeck on my non-slip surfaces on my Sailboat. I've never seen a paint so easily (and permanently) stained, so difficult to clean, and so prone to wear. The Interlux Brightsides with the added polymeric non-skid beads are VASTLY superior to Interlux's Interdeck Non-Skid product...no comparison. STAINING: My biggest frustration with their lousy Interdeck product is that it STAINS so incredibly easy (bird poo, spilled beverages, shoe marks, etc). Brightsides has a Teflon additive that I've found is VERY easy to clean. Brightsides normally has a high-gloss finish, but if you add their polymeric non-skid additive it turns into a nice semi-gloss/satin finish which is so good that I literally sprayed my entire top deck with it since I walk virtually everywhere on it. DURABILITY: The durability of the Brightsides is much, much better as the Interdeck product needed yearly application just to keep up which is just too expensive and time-consuming. Deep power-washing (which is what you'll need to do with decks coated in non-skid of any kind to keep them clean) REALLY took a toll on the Interdeck product but doesn't even phase the more durable Brightsides paint. SLIPPAGE: Because I was able to mix my OWN bead-to-paint ratio rather than having it pre-mixed, I have what I feel is superior coverage of non-slip surface on my deck. I sprayed the ENTIRE top deck with 3 coats using an automotive sprayer and added the polymeric beads to the paint BEFORE I sprayed each coat. I added the maximum 6oz per gallon of polymeric beads as recommended. The beads are worth the money and don't even think of using sand! COLOR: The whitest shade of the Interdeck looks an off-white color (similar to Brightsides ""white""), whereas Brightsides has the brightest white available (""blue glo"" white) which will make all of your neighbors exceedingly jealous. I will NEVER use the Interdeck product again, but I'm heartily recommending Brightsides!
