3M Long Board Production brown aluminum oxide sandpaper sheets are intended for dry sanding only, by machine or hand on fiberglass, wood, or metal. They can also be used for shaping plastic filler, removing paint around damaged area and scratch refinement of bare metal. For non-critical, short-term application. Production sheets are open coat with aluminum oxide mineral.

Not what I'd hoped for

I ordered these sheets in hope that they were new and had not ben exposed to too much humidity. Humidity causes them to curl. No such luck. They were curled less than the bunch I just dicarded, but not much less. Finishing sheets need to be FLAT, otherwise they leave marks where the curled edges compress on the surface.

Avoid This Paper

This is an inferior paper to others. It loads up fast and does not have the cutting power one would expect of an 80 Grit. Go with a more premium sand paper for long boarding.

80 grit works well on rough fairing!

This 80 grit works great on rough fairing West System epoxy w/#407. The only problem is it doesn't fit well on my Hutchins flexible long board(it's too short to install easily) It works fine on my Norton stiff long board.

A: Just another customer asked to respond. We have bought this kind of paper for use on our long board hand sande4r. Don't remember too much, so it must have worked fine.
