Anchor brand battery terminals

Am redoing the engine room DC wiring on a 1970 58ft Trumpy. Needed to replace a number of terminal ends and selected Anchor banded marine terminals. They worked out great. Just make sure you have the correct tools for stripping the wires and crimping the terminals!

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: What is the best way to attach the lug to the battery cable to marine standards....crimping or soder ????

1 Answer

A: Like many questions, each option has its proponents. I perfer to crimp them. Solder leaves you with a __quote__hard__quote__ spot where the solder ends - I believe it to be much more susceptible to fracture at the lug.
